This public pedestrian plaza will be a flexible and welcoming place framed by outdoor dining and retail. Designed for flexibility with community events in mind, this plaza will be a platform for shared experiences and seasonal events. The grand architectural arch in the center of the plaza will provide a pedestrian connection to the West side of State Street.
Redlands Boulevard & Orange Street
A mixed-use building at the corner of Redlands Boulevard and Orange Street will provide creative office space for local businesses and a rooftop restaurant. Hidden from view on the street, a multi-level parking structure will provide off-street parking for office and retail uses on this block.
State Street Paseo
The extension of State Street into the site will expand the vibrant pedestrian-oriented retail district of historic State Street into the former Mall site. State Street will be lined with walkable shops, restaurants, and services on the ground floor, with residential on the upper floors. A pedestrian paseo will provide a beautifully designed pedestrian connection between Citrus and State Street.
State Street from Orange Street
The corner of State Street and Orange Street was historically the most commercial important intersection in Downtown Redlands, dating back to the late 1800s. Mixed-use buildings inspired by the historic architecture of downtown Redlands will provide a new gateway into State Street Village and reintroduce the architectural importance of this historic corner.
Pedestrian Paseo
A pedestrian paseo creates a generous pedestrian realm and allows convenient walkable access between Citrus and State Street. Taking inspiration from Redlands’ iconic Orange Street Alley, this paseo will help to create an attractive and welcoming pedestrian environment.
Redlands Boulevard & Eureka Street
3-story buildings at the corner of Redlands Boulevard and Eureka Street strike a balance between classical and contemporary design. This corner is home to the community amenity building, which will provide fitness, pool, lounge and other amenities for State Street Village residents.
State Street & Eureka Street
A pedestrian paseo, called the Garden Walk, provides a new and pleasant pedestrian and bicyclist connection through State Street. 3-story buildings line the street and frame the garden walk.
Citrus and Orange Street
Sensitively-massed and articulated 3-story buildings at Citrus and Orange seamless blend into the existing neighborhood context. Lush landscape along the street provides a comfortable and enjoyable pedestrian environment.
